Submit a Secure Tip

If you have information about jail conditions, prison conditions, misconduct, medical neglect, retaliation, reentry barriers, or systemic harm, ARI’s secure tip line gives you a safer way to share what you know.

Your safety matters. This secure tip line is separate from a regular website form and is designed for sensitive reporting. You may choose what to share, whether to include your name, and whether you want ARI to be able to follow up.

Built for Sensitive Reports

The tip line uses GlobaLeaks, a secure whistleblowing platform created for confidential and anonymous reporting.

You Control What You Share

You can decide whether to provide your name, contact information, documents, screenshots, dates, facility names, or other details.

Safer Than a Regular Form

Regular contact forms and email are not ideal for sensitive information. This tip line is designed specifically for secure submissions and follow-up.

Major investigative organizations such as ProPublica, The New York Times, and The Guardian use secure tip systems to help people share sensitive information more safely. ARI’s tip line follows that same principle: when the information is serious, people deserve a safer way to report it.

Safety Questions

Yes. The tip line is designed to allow anonymous reporting. Only share identifying information if you feel comfortable doing so.
No. Email can expose more information than people realize. This secure tip line is intended for sensitive reports, documents, and concerns that may need stronger privacy protections.
Include what happened, where it happened, when it happened, who was involved, facility names, staff names if known, grievance numbers, screenshots, letters, medical notes, call logs, or anything that helps document the concern.
No. ARI cannot guarantee a specific outcome, investigation, response, or legal result. But documentation matters, and secure reporting helps preserve information that may otherwise be lost.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services, the facility, an attorney, or the proper reporting agency. This tip line is for secure documentation and follow-up, not emergency response.
