The Arkansas Restorative Initiative is honored to announce an open call for contributions to The Mosaic of Me, an upcoming book. This powerful work aims to weave together the raw, heartfelt experiences of individuals impacted by life’s challenges, choices, and triumphs. Rooted in the values of restorative justice and the human spirit's resilience, The Mosaic of Me will amplify diverse voices, creating a tapestry of stories that inspire understanding, healing, and hope.

About the Book:

The Mosaic of Me is more than a book. It is a movement. Authored by Celina Hale, the book captures personal narratives, reflections, and symbolic expressions from individuals who have experienced adversity, transformation, and growth. It will blend art, symbolism, and storytelling to convey the complexity and beauty of the human experience. This project aligns with the Arkansas Restorative Initiative’s mission to promote survivor-centered accountability, healing, and justice reform.

What We Are Seeking:

We are inviting submissions from individuals willing to share:

  • Personal testimonies or life experiences

  • Messages of healing, forgiveness, or hope

  • Poetry, letters, or creative reflections

  • Symbolic art or visual expressions (optional)

We welcome voices from all walks of life, including survivors, formerly incarcerated individuals, family members, advocates, and community leaders. Submissions can be anonymous if preferred.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Deadline: March 15, 2025

  • Format: Written pieces (up to 1,500 words) or digital artwork (high-resolution files)

  • How to Submit: Please email your submission to arkansasrestorativeinitiative@gmail.com with the subject line "The Mosaic of Me Submission."

  • Consent: All submissions must include a completed release form, granting permission for inclusion in the publication. Anonymous submissions are welcome, but we still require a release form for publication.
